Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Evansville, Indiana
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week, with the possibility of scheduling up to 40 hours
- Shift Duration: 8- and 12-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: 11:00 a.m.–3:00 a.m.; primarily 3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Emergency Department
- Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience within the past year required, along with completion of a charting checkoff class
- Float and Call: No floating, on-call, or callback requirements
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a compact state
- At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Successful completion of a 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia examination
- Recent Epic charting experience and willingness to complete the required checkoff
- Pediatric Emergency Room experience preferred
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
- Strong communication skills, resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to patient care
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room
- Rapidly assess, prioritize, and monitor patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Recognize changes in patient status and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with clinical standards
- Perform and interpret focused nursing assessments, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team during trauma evaluations and emergency procedures
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Support care for adult and pediatric patients while maintaining a calm, professional presence in high-pressure situations
