• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour daytime shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Call Requirements: Approximately one weekend of call every 6–7 weeks and one weeknight of call approximately every other week; holiday call rotation may apply
• Charting: Epic
• Work Setting: On-site

PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Associate degree or nursing certificate
• Previous Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills
• Dependable, accountable, resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to patient care

PACU Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures and anesthesia
• Monitor patients’ airway, vital signs, pain, level of consciousness, and post-anesthesia recovery progress
• Recognize and respond promptly to post-anesthesia complications and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and established protocols
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer by confirming that appropriate recovery criteria have been met
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, perioperative nurses, and other members of the care team
• Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
