Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110–$2,220
- Assignment Length: 12 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour variable day and night shifts
- Shift Times: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Unit: Medical/Pediatrics; travel nurses will care for adult patients
- Orientation: 8 hours; guaranteed hours may vary during orientation
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
- Floating: Inpatient units as needed
Medical-Surgical Travel RN Requirements
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Recent EPIC charting experience
- Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
- Ability to work variable day and night shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays
- Adaptability, resilience, strong independent judgment, and a collaborative approach to patient care
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients in an inpatient setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patients with respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, renal, infectious, cardiovascular, and other acute medical conditions
- Support patients receiving care for stroke, seizure disorders, diabetes, sepsis, wound care needs, urinary disorders, renal failure, and acute alcohol withdrawal
- Administer medications and treatments, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and evaluate patient responses
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC
- Float to inpatient units as assigned while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Collaborate with providers, ancillary staff, patients, and families to promote positive outcomes
- Manage changing priorities effectively and ask questions when needed to ensure excellent patient experiences
