Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Location: Albany, Georgia
• Unit: Acute Care Medical-Surgical
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential flexibility for 8- or 17-week assignments
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:6
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Work two of three designated holidays
• Floating: May float to acute-care units, cardiac care, or emergency patient-hold assignments; occasional floating to a nearby campus may be required
• Call: Rare callback or call coverage
• Uniform: Caribbean blue or white
• Documentation: Meditech Expanse experience required

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Georgia or compact-state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate degree in nursing or an approved nursing certificate required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA NIHSS certification
• AHA ACLS certification highly preferred
• Recent experience caring for patients with sickle cell disease
• Recent proficiency with peripheral IV insertion
• Meditech Expanse experience required; HCA Meditech experience alone will not meet the requirement
• Ability to meet assignment scheduling requirements, including weekend and holiday rotation

Acute-Care Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and acute-care patients
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards
• Perform peripheral IV insertion and provide ongoing vascular access care
• Care for patients with complex medical conditions, including sickle cell disease
• Complete accurate assessments, care plans, documentation, and clinical handoffs using Meditech Expanse
• Collaborate with providers, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care
• Float to designated acute-care areas as needed to support patient-care operations
