Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Charting: Recent EPIC experience required

Cardiac Progressive Care RN Job Requirements

  • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 2 years of recent IMC, PCU, or telemetry nursing experience
  • At least 1 year of strong cardiac nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown, intermediate cardiac, or cardiac ICU setting
  • Demonstrated experience managing Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
  • At least 1 year of recent EPIC electronic health record charting experience
  • Completion of at least one previous travel nursing assignment
  • Ability to successfully complete an EKG assessment during the first week
  • Associate degree or nursing certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong organization, resilience, adaptability, and ability to work independently

Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac progressive care and telemetry setting
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs
  • Care for patients recovering from CABG, valve procedures, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and defibrillator procedures, and ablations
  • Manage patients with arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, and myocardial infarction
  • Safely administer and monitor Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, and other high-alert cardiac medications according to protocol
  • Care for medical-surgical overflow patients, including those with detoxification needs, diabetic ketoacidosis, COPD exacerbations, and respiratory failure
  • Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation in EPIC
  • Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and promote positive patient outcomes
  • Float to other inpatient units as needed while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
