Cardiac Device Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620–$2,760
- Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Device / Electrophysiology

- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekends and Holidays: None required
- Call: None required
- Patient Volume: Approximately 12–20 patients per day
- Floating: May support services throughout the hospital and an affiliated cardiology clinic
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin
- At least 2 years of professional experience in cardiac device management or cardiac device nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience independently reviewing remote cardiac device transmissions and determining urgency, including red, yellow, and green alerts
- Required experience with remote cardiac device monitoring and transmission review
- Ability to determine, perform, and delegate appropriate follow-up actions
- EPIC experience within the past year
- Associate degree or relevant certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Murj experience strongly preferred, but not required
Cardiac Device RN Responsibilities
- Review and investigate remote cardiac device transmissions in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
- Interpret transmission findings and categorize urgency based on established red, yellow, and green alert levels
- Coordinate, perform, or delegate follow-up actions based on patient and cardiac device status
- Provide skilled nursing support for cardiac device and electrophysiology patients
- Assist with the care of approximately 12–20 patients per day
- Document assessments, interventions, transmission reviews, and patient communications accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with cardiology, electrophysiology, nursing, and support teams to promote safe continuity of care
- Float between designated clinical locations as needed while maintaining consistent, high-quality patient care
