Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,870–$3,020
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 6, 2027
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
- Weekend and Call Schedule: No weekends or call during the first contract; future assignments may include scheduled weekend, overnight, holiday, and backup call coverage
- Healthcare Setting: Operating Room and perioperative services
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two professional references from within the past 2 years
- Completed skills checklist and competency examination within the past 6 months
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow required surgical safety protocols, including the use of a lead apron
- Availability to participate in applicable off-shift, weekend, and holiday call rotations for future contract periods
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Assess patients throughout admission, treatment, recovery, and discharge planning while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Coordinate daily Operating Room activities with nursing leadership and anesthesia personnel to promote safe, efficient patient care
- Assist with supervision, orientation, staff development, and education for department personnel
- Provide guidance to ancillary staff and serve as a clinical resource for patient care questions
- Maintain appropriate supplies, equipment, and materials for successful Operating Room operations
- Support medication inventory control and the safe management of automated medication-dispensing systems
- Apply blood and body fluid precautions, patient safety standards, and age-appropriate care practices
- Participate in quality improvement activities and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professional, patient-centered communication
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
