Travel Nursing Job Details

Travel RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in Labor & Delivery
- Completion of an approved professional nursing program
- Valid Oklahoma or multistate Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Proof of instruction or successful completion of Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring
- Epic experience required; experience with additional Epic environments is preferred
- Working knowledge of disease-state management, the biopsychosocial model, and clinical pathways
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete work accurately in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail when evaluating clinical and numerical data
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop care plans consistent with unit standards and nursing guidelines
- Perform nursing interventions appropriate for the patient population while considering cultural, psychosocial, and age-related needs
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and demonstrate sound clinical judgment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Delegate appropriately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately and consistently in the electronic medical record
- Provide patient education and support discharge planning, referrals, and transitions of care
- Anticipate patient and unit needs while supporting quality improvement and educational initiatives
- Complete required in-services, education standards, and variance reports
