Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Canton, Georgia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,360–$1,430
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 23, 2027
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Schedule: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday, with weekend rotation
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: Mother/Baby and family-centered care
Mother/Baby RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or maternity nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Strong knowledge of couplet care and family-centered maternity nursing
- Intravenous (IV) start experience preferred
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation and designated holiday coverage
Mother/Baby Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum patients and their newborns in a couplet-care model
- Perform maternal and newborn assessments, monitor clinical status, and promptly report changes
- Support breastfeeding, bonding, newborn adaptation, and a safe transition to home
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for therapeutic response
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, warning signs, and follow-up needs
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, lactation specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge education accurately
- Promote a calm, respectful, and supportive experience for every mother, baby, and family
