• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid compact-state RN license
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
• Recent travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• CPI Blue certification
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment
• Applicants residing within the designated local radius may be subject to applicable local assignment guidelines

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform focused assessments, triage support, ongoing monitoring, and reassessments based on patient acuity
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly escalate concerns to the emergency care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care
• Support emergency interventions, including stabilization and care for patients with cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and traumatic conditions
• Provide clear patient and family education, discharge instructions, and compassionate support throughout the emergency visit
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and professional nursing practice requirements
