Join a collaborative surgical team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) in Atlanta, Georgia. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients in a fast-paced operating room, with exposure to ENT, facial plastics, and general surgery. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,970–$2,080
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30342
- Assignment Type: Operating Room travel nursing assignment
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 23, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Shift: Five 8-hour day shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Holiday Expectations: Work two of the three major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday, such as Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, or the day after Thanksgiving.
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing or perioperative nursing experience
- Experience supporting adult and pediatric ENT procedures, facial plastics, and general surgery
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, surgical safety standards, and sterile technique
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and perioperative staff
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures.
- Function effectively in circulating and other assigned Operating Room nursing roles.
- Support adult and pediatric surgical procedures, including ENT, facial plastics, and general surgery.
- Maintain sterile technique and help ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols.
- Monitor patient status, anticipate clinical needs, and communicate changes promptly to the surgical team.
- Complete accurate documentation and provide safe patient handoffs before and after procedures.
