Operating Room RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Location: Westerville, Ohio, in the greater Columbus area
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, Friday through Sunday
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Call: No call required

Operating Room Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent operating room nursing or perioperative RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Demonstrated competency in perioperative nursing and surgical patient care
• Ability to work the required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night schedule
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail
• Completion of required clinical competency and credentialing processes

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care throughout the perioperative experience, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments for scheduled procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical site preparation, safety checks, and maintenance of a sterile environment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Accurately document care and maintain compliance with established surgical and patient-safety standards
• Adapt to operational needs, including reassignment or floating to another appropriate unit or care setting when necessary
