Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,440 per week
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending January 17, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Additional Hours: Opportunity to work up to 48 hours per week based on operational needs
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and alternating holidays
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5 or 1:6; occasional 1:7 assignments
- Openings: 5 travel RN positions available
Cardiac Stepdown RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent acute care, intermediate care, cardiac stepdown, or comparable nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, and alternating holidays
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and intermediate care setting.
- Float among intermediate care units as part of a flexible clinical team and adapt quickly to changing patient and unit needs.
- Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Manage patient assignments within expected nurse-to-patient ratios while maintaining accurate documentation and effective handoffs.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs.
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote quality outcomes and continuity of care.
