• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Additional Scheduling: A 48-hour work week may be accommodated based on staffing needs
• Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and alternating holidays
• Expected Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5 to 1:6, with occasional 1:7 assignments
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,440

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred
• Ability to work required weekends and alternating holidays

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Float among medical-surgical telemetry units according to patient-care and staffing needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Complete patient assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized patient care
• Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and emergent patient needs
• Support safe transitions of care, discharge planning, and continuity of treatment
