Travel Nurse Job Details

- Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Corvallis, Oregon
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Timing: 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 8, 2026
- End Date: January 7, 2027
- Healthcare Setting: On-site acute care Progressive Care Unit
PCU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission
- Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic electrocardiogram (EKG) knowledge; previous PCU nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to respond effectively to changes in patient condition
Progressive Care Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients requiring progressive care monitoring
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and recognize early signs of patient deterioration
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other clinical indicators
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with clinical standards
