Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
- Location: Washington, DC 20007
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: February 1, 2027
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., based on staffing needs
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call and Weekend Coverage: No call, weekends, or major holidays
- Clinical Setting: Short-term acute care teaching environment with approximately 10 patients per day, four procedure rooms, and a 1:1 patient ratio
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients
- Charting System: Cerner
- Orientation: Approximately 40 hours
CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the District of Columbia, in hand at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, including experience within the last 7 years
- At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills
- Proficiency with procedural sedation monitoring, ventilator monitoring, PA lines, IV access, and central line support
- BSN preferred
- Two supervisory references are required, including one from the most recent assignment
- Flu vaccination is required for this assignment
Cardiovascular Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, focused nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare, monitor, and recover patients throughout the procedural care continuum
- Assist with central line insertion and ongoing central line management
- Start and maintain peripheral IV access
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias while responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Monitor procedural sedation, respiratory status, ventilator parameters, and PA lines as clinically indicated
- Apply isolation precautions and maintain a safe, infection-conscious procedural environment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory services, IV teams, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner
