• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 4–5 patients per nurse
• Charting System: Epic
• Dress Code: Galaxy blue or white scrubs

Progressive Care RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
• Progressive care or observation nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to care for medically complex patients
• Willingness to float to other units or affiliated campuses as patient-care needs require
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team-focused culture

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care and observation setting
• Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care
• Manage patients with complex medical needs requiring close monitoring and timely intervention
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Use Epic to maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Adapt to changing unit needs and float to other care areas when necessary
