This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to provide care for adult patients across Med/Surg, PCU, telemetry, and ED hold settings while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Contract Dates: November 6, 2026 – February 6, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Documentation System: Epic
- Dress Code: Galaxy Blue or white scrubs
- Floating: Floating is required, including to Med/Surg, PCU, ED hold, and other nearby campuses as needed
Med/Surg & PCU Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of combined Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Med/Surg, and telemetry nursing experience
- Experience caring for adult patients in a mixed Med/Surg and PCU environment
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Epic experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Ability to float between units and campuses while maintaining the same high standard of patient care
- Degree from an accredited nursing program or at least 5 years of relevant nursing experience
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg, PCU, telemetry, and ED hold patients
- Monitor patients with a range of medical-surgical and progressive care needs, identifying changes in condition and escalating concerns appropriately
- Manage a typical assignment ratio of approximately 5–6 patients per RN while prioritizing care effectively
- Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Float to other units or nearby campuses as assigned and support continuity of care across the organization
- Function as an integral member of the team and uphold high standards of professionalism, adaptability, and patient-centered care
