Join an acute-care nursing team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) on a 13-week travel nursing contract in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Work night shifts in a Level I Trauma setting while caring for patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour straight night shifts
• Schedule: Approximately three shifts per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5–6 on nights
• Charting: EPIC
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; candidates with a license in process may be considered
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment, patient education, communication, and care-coordination skills
• Ability to care for patients with a range of medical and telemetry needs
• Willingness to float to comparable Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed

Med/Surg Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Monitor telemetry patients, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately
• Coordinate care for patients with complex needs in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in EPIC
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Delegate and supervise care appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
