Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts with a variable schedule and shared on-call rotation
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours; schedules may include up to 40 hours per week
• Work Setting: On-site perioperative and outpatient surgical services

PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Washington
• Minimum of 2 years of recent SSSU, PACU, pre-operative, or post-operative nursing experience
• Strong clinical skills in pre-op, post-op, PACU, and Phase II recovery nursing
• Experience caring for patients in endoscopy and infusion settings
• Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation
• Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and patient education skills

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intraoperative support, and post-anesthesia recovery process
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients in PACU and Phase II recovery areas
• Recognize and respond promptly to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
• Provide perioperative education to patients and families
• Float throughout outpatient services, including day surgery, endoscopy, the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and the pre-operative clinic
• Support hospital needs involving conscious sedation for special procedures
• Collaborate with the perioperative care team to promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
