Located in Western Massachusetts, Springfield offers an appealing regional setting for a travel nursing assignment. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers an opportunity to provide high-quality acute-care to diverse patients while supporting a flexible medical-surgical telemetry float team in Western Massachusetts.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Scheduling Flexibility: A 48-hour workweek may be accommodated
• Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and alternating holidays
• Expected Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5 to 1:6, with occasional 1:7 assignments

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage multiple patient priorities in an acute-care hospital environment
• Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts, every other weekend, and alternating holidays

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients as part of a float team
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient progress
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize, document, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Float to assigned medical-surgical telemetry units and adapt quickly to changing patient-care needs
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the assignment
