Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Kapaau, Hawaii
• Setting: Emergency Department within a critical access hospital
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Contract: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: December 14, 2026
• End Date: March 15, 2027
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; days and/or nights, including weekends and holidays
• Call: No call requirement
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in an emergency department or comparable acute-care setting
• Current Registered Nurse licensure eligible for practice in Hawaii
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced emergency department
• Strong Epic electronic medical record experience
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Current required emergency nursing certifications and credentials appropriate for the assignment

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely evaluation and treatment
• Assist with emergency procedures, patient stabilization, transfers, and discharge planning as appropriate
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families in a community emergency setting
