Emergency Department Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment, patient prioritization, and triage skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during 12-hour overnight shifts
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to meet all required facility onboarding and compliance standards

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients according to acuity and presenting condition
• Provide timely nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, and complex medical needs
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered Emergency Department environment
