• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to care for adult medical, surgical, orthopedic, and telemetry patients
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the travel assignment schedule
• Successful completion of required credentialing, competency validation, and onboarding requirements

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other vital clinical indicators, responding appropriately to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to established orders and clinical standards
• Care for patients recovering from surgical and orthopedic procedures
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care
• Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support a safe, organized patient care environment
