Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Location: Kapaau, Hawaii
• Employment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending March 1, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Availability: Days and/or nights based on unit needs, including weekends and holidays
• Call Requirement: No call
• Work Setting: On-site, critical-access hospital environment

Med-Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Hawaii
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing experience
• Strong experience using EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to provide safe, effective patient care during rotating day and night shifts
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Current required nursing credentials and certifications appropriate to the practice setting

Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Complete patient assessments, care planning, documentation, and clinical updates in EPIC
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate care team
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary staff to support coordinated patient care
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
