Home Health RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: January 15, 2027
• Contract Duration: Approximately 11 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Home Health
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Weekend/On-Call Requirement: Weekend coverage and on-call support as needed
• Service Area: Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Sebastian, and surrounding communities
• Travel Support: Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed

Home Health Nurse Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to Florida practice
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• At least 1 year of professional home health nursing experience
• Home health clinical experience, including start-of-care and OASIS visits
• Experience with HCHB documentation preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong patient assessment, clinical documentation, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to travel independently between patient homes throughout the assigned service area

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive start-of-care assessments and OASIS visits in patients’ homes
• Provide skilled nursing care and complete subsequent visits based on individualized plans of care
• Assess patient condition, identify changes in health status, and communicate concerns to the appropriate care team members
• Administer medications and treatments, provide patient education, and support disease-management goals within the RN scope of practice
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation using HCHB or applicable electronic health record systems
• Coordinate care with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Manage daily home health visits efficiently while meeting applicable productivity expectations
• Participate in weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities as needed
