Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,970–$2,080

Med/Surg Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or a compact-state RN license at the time of submission
• At least 2 years of recent acute-care Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Advanced telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience caring for patients receiving Cardizem and insulin infusions for hyperglycemia
• Ability to care for telemetry patients receiving phenobarbital
• Current license verification and complete nursing licensure documentation
• Up-to-date resume documenting relevant Med/Surg, Telemetry, and travel nursing experience
• Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred but not required
• First-time travel nurses may be considered with strong acute-care nursing experience
• Flexibility to float to another nearby hospital location on an emergency basis, if requested

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer and monitor Cardizem, insulin, and other prescribed therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
• Document assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support a safe, organized patient-care environment and assist with unit needs as assigned
