Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
• Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,940
• Contract Dates: November 9, 2026–February 8, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend as needed
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Floating: Float to medical-surgical, telemetry, and rehabilitation units as needed
• Call: Not required
• Holiday Coverage: Work two of three upcoming major holiday periods when applicable; holiday time-off requests should be limited to one holiday
• Time-Off Requests: Up to 7 days preferred

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania, with no license restrictions or disciplinary findings
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg and telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Recent experience using EPIC electronic health records is required
• Ability to provide safe, adaptable nursing care while floating among medical-surgical, telemetry, and rehabilitation units
• Comfort caring for patients with a variety of acute medical conditions, including possible COVID-19 patients
• Availability to work required night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Willingness to comply with applicable facility vaccination requirements and complete pre-start learning modules

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Provide safe, compassionate care for rehabilitation patients when assigned
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, complete nursing assessments, and evaluate patient responses
• Recognize and promptly communicate clinical changes to the appropriate members of the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document nursing care and patient progress in EPIC
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and a respectful care environment across assigned units
