Description

PICC RN Inserts peripherally placed central venous, central lines, mid-line and peripheral I.V. catheters. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a resource regarding insertion and maintenance of peripherally inserted catheters, all vascular access device products and procedures. Evaluates status of interventions and patient goals for the purpose of reassessment, revision of plan of care and discharge planning. Provides instruction and information to staff, patients and their families regarding use and care of peripherally inserted catheters, midlines, central lines and peripheral I.V.s.
