Position Overview
A leading post-acute care and rehabilitation organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead a dedicated Long-Term Care and Subacute Rehabilitation team. This leadership role oversees a 42-bed rehabilitation unit and is responsible for driving clinical excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on nursing leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients recovering from illness, injury, and complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations on the unit
- Support, coach, and develop nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, clinical, and quality standards
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and operational management
- Foster a positive and patient-centered culture
Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license
- BLS (CPR) certification required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- BSN and/or national certification preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Long-Term Care or Subacute Rehabilitation nursing experience
- Previous nursing leadership or management experience required
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills
- Commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
