• 1-2 On-Call Shifts Per Week

Position Overview

A community-based acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join its collaborative surgical team. The department features 5 operating rooms supporting a variety of procedures, with a strong focus on Orthopedics and General Surgery.

The OR recently added da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery, giving nurses the opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology while providing high-quality perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Circulate a variety of surgical procedures
• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments
• Anticipate surgical team needs and maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR Circulating RN experience required
• Must be able to circulate Orthopedic, General Surgery, da Vinci & OB/GYN procedures
• Pre-Op, Post-Op, Endoscopy/GI or PACU-only experience will not qualify
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
