Position Overview

A respected nonprofit home health organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its clinical nursing operations.

Reporting directly to the VP of Clinical Services, this position oversees 4 Patient Care Managers and provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of home health nursing operations

• Directly manage, mentor, and develop 4 Patient Care Managers

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered home health services

• Oversee clinical compliance, quality, and performance improvement

• Support staffing, productivity, and operational efficiency

• Collaborate with executive leadership on clinical initiatives

• Promote staff engagement, accountability, and professional development

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Home Health experience

• Nursing leadership or management experience

• Strong knowledge of home health regulations and clinical operations

• Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams

• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills

• Ability to drive quality outcomes and operational performance
