Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg ICU / Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required / Active NE (or compact) RN license required at submission / Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS / Level I Trauma, 34-bed ICU serving adults and limited peds (>15 years old) in a fast-paced tertiary care setting / Nurse-to-patient ratios: ICU 1:1–2 (PCU 1:4–5; MS 1:5–6) / RN's required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, sedation, narcotics, and arrhythmical; experience with CRRT, Impella, balloon pump, ICP monitoring, swans, A-lines, CVPs, EV-1000, Zoll Thermoguard, and rapid transfusers preferred (training provided as needed) / Common diagnoses: respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, GI bleeds, psych/OD, post-op general and specialty surgeries including esophagectomy and internal chemo / No monitor techs—RNs must read and interpret telemetry (Draeger with centralized monitoring) / Charge nurse present and attends RRTs/Codes; PCT support 1:18 / Schedule: 12-hour days (06:30–18:30), 36 guaranteed hours/week; every other weekend; 2 of 3 major holidays required; manager-created schedule based on unit needs / Floating required to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU / Orientation: 12 hours plus 2 unit-specific shifts; must pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation / EMR: EPIC / Dress code: Navy blue; artificial nails prohibited / Radius rule: 50 miles (driver’s license required at submission); cannot be current FT/PT/PRN employee within CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity / Pay package negotiable
