Minimum 3+ years recent SICU/CVICU RN experience (must have recovered fresh hearts directly from OR within past 6 months) / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS Required; CCRN Preferred / LICENSE – Active RN License Required / Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hrs/week, 13 weeks (every other weekend + holiday rotation; first to float) / Setting: Acute Care – SICU/CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) / EMR: Cerner (REQUIRED) / Skills: High-acuity ICU care, post-open heart recovery, TAVR, Impella, IABP, Swanz, lumbar drains, hemodynamic monitoring (manual hemo preferred), STEMI, AAA, sepsis, hypothermia management; strong Med-Surg ICU + CVICU background required / Volume: 10-bed unit, 1:1 or 1:2 ratios / Call: Not specified / Floating: Required to other ICUs and ER (inpatient ICU holds); first to float / Support: Charge nurse 24/7 (no patient assignment unless needed), resource nurse 24/7, RT 24/7, pharmacy 24/7, patient care support staff/unit clerk (no techs) / Equipment: Philips central monitoring, Draeger/Hamilton G5/Galileo vents, LVT transport vent, Omnicell / Scheduling: Manager scheduling (no self-scheduling; block scheduling not guaranteed; time-off must be pre-approved) / Orientation: 1 shift with preceptor (12 hours); all MyJourney modules must be completed prior to arrival (no exceptions) / Additional: High-acuity, fast-paced unit; must be flexible as assignments may change during shift; Cerner experience mandatory; navy blue scrubs required .
