Description

RN - MS Tele Nurse Shift Manager | Nights | 12hr Shifts | 36 hrs/week | Cerner | BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required | Must have recent MedSurg Tele and Charge RN experience | No first-time travelers | Leadership role combining Charge RN, Clinical Mentor, and Shift Manager responsibilities | Clinician will provide on-shift leadership, support staff, round on patients, address safety/service concerns, and take patient assignments as needed based on staffing and census | Covers all MedSurg Tele units | Ratios: 1:5 MedSurg, 1:4 Tele/Chemo patients | Remote telemetry with monitor techs | No vents | Hospitalist, RT, and Pharmacy available 24/7 | No IV team, but PICC/midline support available | Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 2 weeks | No call, but must report within 30 minutes if placed on low census standby | Floating required between Mercy Downtown and Mercy SW MedSurg/Tele units | Navy scrubs | Common patient population includes MedSurg, Tele, Oncology, GYN, appy, chole, spine, joints, and patients with oncology history | Must have strong central line skills, excellent patient care approach, leadership ability, and passion for teaching/mentoring staff
