Minimum 1+ year recent RN experience in Emergency Department required with Med-Surg floating experience / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC required / LICENSE – Active RN License required / Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week, 13 weeks (Every Other Weekend and Every 3rd Holiday) / Setting: Critical Access Hospital – Emergency Department with Med-Surg Float / EMR: MEDITECH / Skills: Emergency nursing, trauma care, stroke and STEMI management, chest pain assessment, respiratory emergencies, medication drips (Heparin, Levophed), telemetry interpretation, rapid assessment, and Med-Surg patient care required / Unit Details: 2-bed Emergency Department in a Critical Access Hospital / Ratios: 1:3–4 / Common Patient Population: Trauma, stroke, STEMI, chest pain, respiratory conditions, lacerations, and emergency medical patients / Drips: Heparin and Levophed / Charge Nurse: Charge nurse available and carries an assignment / Monitoring: No monitor techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips / Scheduling: Self/team scheduling available (0630–1900 or 1830–0700 shifts) / Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / Holiday Requirement: Every third holiday / Floating: Required to float to Med-Surg as needed / Orientation: One 12-hour unit-specific orientation shift / Additional: Critical Access Hospital experience preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. 50-mile radius rule applies, and candidates cannot have worked as FT, PT, or PRN for any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within the past 12 months. RTO must be submitted upfront (maximum 7 days per 13-week contract).
