Description
Minimum 1+ year recent RN experience required; outpatient/clinic experience preferred / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS (AHA) Required / LICENSE – Active RN License Required / Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hrs/week, 13 weeks (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) / Setting: Outpatient Gastroenterology Clinic / EMR: EPIC / Skills: IV insertion, IV medication administration, infusion therapy, patient assessment, patient education, medication management, and outpatient clinic nursing required / Unit Details: 3-chair Gastroenterology Clinic currently averaging 8 patients per day with growing patient volume / Ratios: Based on clinic volume and scheduling / Common Patient Population: Cirrhosis, GERD, dysphagia, and other gastroenterology patients requiring specialty care and infusion treatments / Drips: Remicade, Inflectra, Entyvio, and other infusion therapies; RNs required to administer and titrate infusions as ordered / RT Equipment: None / Charge Nurse: Clinic Supervisor and Clinic Administrator provide oversight / Monitoring: No telemetry or monitor technicians; cardiac rhythm interpretation not required / Scheduling: Monday–Friday daytime schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM / Weekend Requirement: None / Holiday Requirement: None; clinic closed on major holidays including July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Memorial Day / Floating: May float to other specialty clinic departments with similar duties and workflows as needed / Call Requirement: None / Pharmacy: Inpatient pharmacy available 24/7 for support / Orientation: Standard facility orientation provided; no department-specific orientation / Scrubs: Any color scrubs permitted / Additional: Manager interview required. Facility follows a 50-mile radius rule. Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff or PRN at any CHI/CommonSpirit facility within the past 12 months.
