Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse
Location: Kearney, NE
Start Date: 12/08/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to adult PCU patients with cardiac, respiratory, vascular, and renal conditions
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips including heparin, nitro, dopamine, cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips and telemetry
• Manage patients on high-flow oxygen therapy
• Competently manage and monitor arterial lines
• Utilize specialized equipment including overhead lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners
• Document all patient care accurately in EPIC system
• Float to Med-Surg units or ICU (for PCU-acuity patients) as needed
• Provide culturally sensitive care to diverse populations, primarily Hispanic and Somalian

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of PCU or similar progressive care experience required
• Experience with cardiac drip titration and arterial line management
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environment
• Willingness to receive and implement feedback
• Must live outside 50-mile radius (driver's license verification required)
• No current or prior employment with CommonSpirit Health facilities
• Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current, active Nebraska RN license or compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
