Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Tele Experience Required)
Location: Chandler, AZ
Start Date: December 8, 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical, orthopedic, and oncology patients on a 32-bed MedSurg unit (formerly C5).
• Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and manage patients on Amiodarone and Cardizem drips (titrate down only).
• Collaborate with physicians, PCTs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Assist with pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic and surgical patients, including JHACO-certified hip and knee programs.
• Use Cerner EMR for accurate charting and communication of patient status.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning support.
• Participate in floating assignments to MedSurg Tele units (B2C and B2D) as required.
• Maintain adherence to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Participate in orientation, simulation lab, and ongoing competency assessments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience (within the past 6 months).
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills.
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam (within 48 hours of offer, two attempts maximum).
• Must pass Simulation Lab on Day 1 of orientation (failures result in 6-month DNU status for CSH AZ & CSH Sac regions).
• Effective communication, time management, and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or Compact State).
• Current BLS (AHA).
• Current ACLS (AHA).
