Job Title: Registered Nurse – Float Pool
Location: Prescott, AZ
Start Date: December 16, 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care while floating between MedSurg, Telemetry, and PCU units across two campuses.
• Care for geriatric, orthopedic, and post-cardiac patients, including post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG (post-op day 3–4) cases.
• Manage and monitor patients receiving titrated drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips; collaborate closely with monitor techs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High-Flow Oxygen in PCU and MedSurg settings.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, document accurately using Cerner EMR, and adapt care plans according to patient needs.
• Maintain flexibility to float between West Campus (larger) and East Campus (smaller) facilities; assignments provided 2 hours before shift start.
• Support hospital protocols for infection control, medication administration, and emergency response.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Progressive Care (PCU) or similar acute care setting.
• Proven ability to work independently in multiple units and manage varying patient acuity levels.
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Must successfully pass a Dysrhythmia Exam (minimum score of 80%) within two attempts prior to contract signing.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Active Arizona or Compact RN License (must be current at start).
• BLS (AHA) — required.
• ACLS (AHA) — required.
