Unit Notes
**True Tele unit - candidates must have 2 full years of solid tele experience
- Unit: Tele 2NE Neuro/Spine
- # beds: Up to 25 beds
- Certs: BLS
- Ratios: 5 to 1
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes - Does not take patients
- Nurse Aides: PCT 1 - 1.5 depending on census
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Work into perm staff holiday rotation
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Tele: Must read EKG strips and be comfortable working w/tele patients
- Vents: No
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
- IV Team: IV & PICC team available during the day
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Shifts: Shifts can be either 8s or 12s, please look at the current posting.
- Floating: Travelers will have a 'home base' unit, however, floating is required between both Tele and MedSurg units
- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift of orientation on each unit
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Tele, Neuro, Spine
- Additional Notes: Night shift requires 2 years of solid Tele experience. Day shift is okay with 2 years of experience
