THIS POSITION REQUIRES TELE EXPERIENCE

**Cannot live within 50 miles of the facility. Must provide current driver's license upon submitting.

Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.

**Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for both CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions.

**There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation. If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months.

**MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS & DUE TO FLOATING TO TELE UNITS, MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DOWN ONLY: AMIO & CARDIZEM

- Unit: MedSurg A3 (formerly C5)
- # beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology
- Certs: BLS, ACLS
- Ratios: 1:4 ratio days and nights.
- Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.
- Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night.
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Tele: Client Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.
- Vents: NA
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.
- IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.
- Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7.
- Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D
- Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn).
