Immediate postpartum, stabilization of normal newborn. Couplet care Patient Ratios: 1:1 High risk; Normally 1:2 Will follow AWHONN guidelines Required Licensure Certifications:Licensure: BLS, NRP, EFM Surgical Scrub: BLS, CSTSkills required: IUPC, FSE, IV starts, circulating C-sections Support on the Unit: CNA: No CNAs, OBT scrub and assist with vaginal delivery recoveries Receptionist/HUC: 24/7 Charge nurse: 24/7 Phlebotomy? If needed, RNs draw and lab is available as needed IV/VAT Team? If needed. Resource Nurse. No, charge RN is resource RT Yes, with NICU Hospitalist Yes Telemetry monitoring: centralized EFM, tele efm, cardiac tele Yes Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV pumps: Baxter Medication dispensing: Pyxis Monitors: Fetal monitoring system: GE/Centricity.
