Description
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Position / Specialty: ED SURGE - **Traveler will be contracted to ED unit, specifically to care for inpatient/CICU Level holds in ED**
Years of experience REQ: 2 years (Must have a strong PCU background within the last year). ED experience preferred, not required
First-timers accepted: (Y/N) Yes, with EPIC experience and 2 years experience. No first timers accepted with only 1 year exp
Weekend REQ: EOW
Certs REQ: ACLS, BCLS, EKG TEST on arrival
Floating Expectations
Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach Will assist in being Floated to similar units Patient Sitting You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team
PATIENT DIAGNOSES
-Chest Pain
-Syncope
-Heart Failure
-Sepsis
-Overdose
-GI Bleed
-COPD
-Pneumonia
-Will see Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, Orthopedic as overflow as well.
-S/p Cath w/stent only (no CABG)
-ICD/Pacer insertions
-Cardioversions

-Manages/Titrates drips (Most common are Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, Dobutamine) REQUIRED
