### RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR ###

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Experience REQUIRED.
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers

Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience
***Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS***
***STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations***

JOB DETAILS:
-RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12
-SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered
***Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to February 27, 2027 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays! ***
-12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
-Call Requirement: NONE
-Float Requirement: YES
-Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.

UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE: Per the Unit Needs

UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights

SCRUBS: Navy blue & White.
