RN Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit RN for Nights. Our census is growing due to increase in Ortho surgery's this time of year, Hybrid Cath Lab procedures/surgery's and acute/chronic illnesses. Come help us out and play in the Colorado Mountains!

Valley View has newly remodeled studio apartments available, iterally 1/2 block from the hospital for $1780/month (studio) and $1990/month (1-bedroom) includes Wi-Fi, utilities, on-site laundry room and fully furnished. The Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality nursing care to patients. The nurse will use their specialized knowledge and expertise related to critical disease states to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Will require ACLS - AHA in order to provide Intermediate Care in CCU as needed.
SHIFT: 12-hour night shift including weekend rotation; must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period (following VV’s pay schedule) in place of guaranteed hours that week; if requested due to staffing needs.
EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Acute Care/Med Surge/Telemetry or similar RN experience REQUIRED.
CERTS:
- Current RN License to work in Colorado.
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS issued by the Americal Heart Association.
- At least 3 years of RN Med Surg experience.
