Job Summary for Registered Nurse – MiraVista Behavioral Health Center, Holyoke, MA

- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to psychiatric and substance use disorder patients and their families/legal guardians.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in alignment with TaraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles.
- Collaborate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and documenting individualized treatment plans, including setting appropriate goals and interventions.
- Utilize critical thinking and advanced behavioral health/substance abuse treatment knowledge to make clinical decisions and solve problems.
- Apply the nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care.
- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing; use electronic medical records.
- Manage crises, delegate tasks, coach peers, and contribute to team building.
- Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and composure in high-stress situations.
- Take charge and float as needed within the facility.
- Work full-time, including every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

Meet the following qualifications:
- Active RN license in Massachusetts (BSN preferred).
- At least one year of psychiatric nursing experience required.
- CPR certification required.
- Experience in restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.
