Description

Job Summary (List Format):

- Position: Acute Care Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
- Shifts: 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every 3rd weekend; holidays as needed
- Floating: Required between all Cone Health campuses
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care rehab experience; no first-time travelers
- Certifications: BLS required
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Duties/Skills:
- Interpretation of laboratory results
- Medication reconciliation
- Patient health history, allergies, and questionnaires
- Monitoring and recording vital signs (BP, respirations, temp, pulse)
- Dressing changes; setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Capillary draws, specimen labeling, throat/urine (clean catch) collection, phlebotomy
- Telephone triage, pharmacy calls, patient refill requests
- Patient Population:
- Patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, generalized debility
- Specialized inpatient rehabilitation care (post-stroke, aneurysm, post-op surgical, etc.)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse : 6 patients
- Additional Requirements:
- Pass/fail EKG exam required
- Flexibility with scheduling and floating
