Elm Street, High Point, NC 27262 o 351 licensed beds No Trauma Designation Teaching Hospital Chest Pain Center Stroke Center ● Unit Information: Beds: 36 ▪ Census? Average patients/day? ADC = 33 currently Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year Will you accept a first-time traveler? No ● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General Med/Surg Floor LOC post-operative patients. CBI and mirror 7South Bariatric; hips; trauma surgical; bucks traction ● Patient Ratios: RN: 1:6 LPN (if applicable): 1:6 CNA: 1:9-12 ● Required Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Resource Team requirements ● Skills required: General care of the medical/surgical patient CBI and mirror 7 South ● Support within the Department: CNA? Duties? Duties as assigned, within the scope of the CNA; General ADLs, vital signs, ambulation/mobility, assistance with feeding, blood sugars and other duties as assigned within the scope of the CNA. Receptionist/HUC? 7am-7:30pm, yes- 7pm-0730am, no. Charge nurse? Yes Phlebotomy? Yes IV/VAT Team? No Resource Nurse? No RT 24/7? Yes Hospitalist 24/7? Yes Intensivist 24/7? Yes Telemetry monitoring/tech? Yes ● Technology/Equipment: EMR: Encompass/EPIC IV Pump: Baxter currently - moving to Alaris in 2026 Med dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Philips MX-40s Unit specific equipment: Routine lifting equipment, VS equipment, CBG machines, wound vacs PRN, Baxter IV pumps. Specialty beds PRN. ● Floating: If yes, where? Sister units of 7N and 7S All med-surg with same ratio/expectations. ● Orientation (facility and unit) : NEO: Yes- facility o 2 days departmental: yes, unit. ● Other notes: Scrub Color: Royal Blue Parking: Free?
