Description

Job Summary :

- Provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients (critical, non-critical, and chronically ill) under physician direction with minimal supervision
- Assess patients and implement respiratory care plans
- Perform technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital
- Respond to emergency situations (Code Blue and White)
- Manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
- Administer aerosolized medications
- Set up and manage ventilators
- Perform oral hygiene and maintain airway devices (including BiPAP and CPAP)
- Manage oxygen delivery systems and monitor therapy effectiveness
- Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs
- Document all care accurately and completely
- Clean and stock respiratory equipment and supplies
- Participate in CAP (College of American Pathologists) and JC (Joint Commission) surveys
- May serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader (if RRT)
- May perform advanced therapies: therapeutic gas management (INO, HeO2), pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 studies, polysomnography, and patient transport

Job Requirements:

- RT or RCP License in Texas
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA only)
- 1–3 years of experience preferred

Work Schedule:
- 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM

Med Ninjas Job ID #15339. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
